Modern and Adult Hip Hop

Is a native of Washington, D.C. with a background in Musical Theater, performing in such productions as Sweet Charity, Bubbling Brown Sugar, and The Wiz to name a few. Ms Hunter, is a former soloist with the Dallas Black Dance Theatre, and a former member of the Bruce Woods Dance Co. in Fort Worth, Tx. She has been a resident choreographer for Soul Rep Theater Co., The Black Academy, and has choreographed for several Dallas Summer Musicals productions under the direction of Akin Babatunde, and choreographed and directed a Summer Musical for  inner city youth with the Fort Worth Workforce solution program which partnered with KATCO ( Gospel singer Kathy Taylor) out of Houston, Tx.

     Ms. Hunter, is presently a staff member at Texas Ballet Theater School Fort Worth Campus teaching Contemporary  Modern, teaches Hip Hop at Freestyle Dance Productions in Grand Prairie, and is a Modern sub-teacher at Ballet Academy of Texas in Coppell. She is Founder and Artistic Director of her own Contemporary Modern Dance company under the name La'Hunter In Flight Dance Theatre which focuses on strong theatrical themes which premeired at The Naomi Bruton Theatre. Ms. Hunter, also considers herself a character actress which has been featured in such productions as Love Junkies, Heliotroupe Bouquet which is based on Scott Joplin's life, For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When The Rainbow Is Enuf, and The Bluest Eye. Her Choreography and Directing talents to name a few have been featured in several productions such as By Any Means Neccessary, a Laterres R.Whitfield Production, NEAT, an African American Repertory Production, and for Jubilee Theater's "For Colored Girls", "The Bluest Eye", and "Home ForThe Holidays. She has a Bacholar of Arts in Dance from Texas Womens University, is a Massage Therapist, and a Culinary Artist.
