Angela is a professional dance instructor with an in-depth focus on fundamental dance technique. Her background includes ballet, drill,
jazz, with a specialization in performance African and Horton dance techniques. Angela holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology & in Dance from the University of North Texa. Angela is also an Alvin Ailey Certified Dancer, and attended The Ailey School from 2006-2007.
Her teaching and choreography experience include teaching at Dallas Black Dance Academy in 2007 in the genres of Horton, Contemporary Ballet, and African Dance; St. Philip’s School and Community Center where she taught in the afterschool program and provided Ballet/Horton/African dance \classes. Lastly, Angela is the Founder and Choreographer of CoreXpression, A business that provides dance classes, choreographic works, and contracted performance opportunities. Angela has choreographed for Dallas Black Dance Academy, University of North Texas – Progression’s Regression 2003 & Ladies’ Night 2004, Art Beyond Contemporary, Dawn’s Early Light Productions and TeCo Theatrical Productions. She is a former dancer with Dallas Black Dance Theater II and is currently dancing with Happy Nia Dance Theater.
