IDOC Policies / Expectation of Students
 

 

We ask that all IDOC students adhere to the following expectations:
 
IN CLASS
  • Hair must be neatly pulled off of the face into a bun or a ponytail for all clases. 
  • Come prepared and dressed in complete attire for the desired class(es).
  • Ballet students - Hair must be neatly pulled off of the face into a bun.  
  • Students must wear dancing shoes only while in the studio.
  • Non-dancing shoes are not allowed at anytime on the studio floor.
  • Respect and honor co-dancers and teachers at the end of each class by clapping.

     

IN STUDIO FACILITY
  • Students are asked to arrive 5-10 minutes early for class.
  • Respect the dance studio, its materials, supplies, and staff at all times.
  • No gum, food, or drinks permitted in the studio - no exceptions.
  • Do not run, yell, play or disrupt classes in the studio unless asked by the owner or staff.
  • Above all, do your best and give your all when you dance.... leave it all on the dance floor!
     
OUTSIDE OF CLASS / FACILITY
  • Stretch at home for 5-10 minutes everyday to improve flexibility and strength.
  • Students must wear their JUD tee-shirts to / from class as a cover-up.
  • Never wear only your dance school clothing outside of the dance studio.
  • Never wear dance shoes out in public.  This will prolong the wearability.
  • Represent JUD to the best of your ability, at all times. 
  • Represent yourself while  in JUD clothing and accessories when in public. We are what we represent!
